Our popular Mini-Six Heat Treating Furnace and combination Ammonia Dissociator, are perfect for bright annealing and silver and gold soldering. This units at 9 feet, 4 inches long and 18 inches wide, fits in spaces where a larger unit simply can't go.

With a heat treating capacity of 0 to 10 inches per minute through an opening 2 inches high over belt, the maximum operating temperature is 1800 Degrees Fahrenheit. It runs on a 220 volt, 3-phase motor. With a Bodine Minarik electronically controlled speed of 0 to 10 per minute, the unit runs smoothly so as not to disturb the work while passing through the furnace.

There are two (2) Honeywell 3000 Micro-processor Controls calibrated for Type (K) Thermocouples. These instruments offer state-of-the-art Micro Computer Design, 4 digit seven sequent digital display, selectable display of process temperature, set-point temperature or control adjustments, L.E.D. Deviation indicator, field selectable display in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius. Adjustable proportion band and cycle rate for precise temperature control.

The heating chamber of the heat treaing furnace is 24 inches long, and heated by Nichrome heating elements with a low watt density for long life, backed by 2-l/2 inches of Johns-Manville insulating brick and 3 inches of Johns-Manville Superex for efficient insulating conditions. There is a purging chamber that will be 7 inches long, fitted with blanchard ground Meehanite casting and door to maintain an atmosphere tight seal around sides and top of door. There is also be an atmosphere fiberglass curtain box to guard against draft at the exit.

The cooler of the heat treaing furnace, will be an integral part with the high nickel alloy muffle which has a water jacket surrounding the tunnel. Cooling section will be 3l inches long made of stainless steel.

All S.M. Engineering heat treaing furnaces are designed to conform to known existing safety standards required by OSHA and Factory Mutual or Industrial Risk Insurers Insurance Companies for this type of equipment. However, if safety features or devices in addition to those specified herein are required to obtain approval of other federal, state or local agencies, such additional items will be supplied at an appropriate additional charge.

As with all our heat treaing furnaces, S. M. Engineering Co. Inc. will provide start up and instruct proper operations of the furnace. As per your request we will do this in writing, in person, or if you wish to send your representative to S.M.'s factory, we will also instruct proper start up and shut down installation to the personnel in charge.
