Our custom and standard design production jewelry furnaces are specifically built to meet the requirements of the jewelry manufacturing and related industries. Such jewelry functions as soldering, annealing, brazing, etc., are reduced to very simple procedures requiring little or no skill for operation, preparation, fixturing, cleaning and polishing.
Our jewelry furnace equipment itself once adjusted, becomes a simple on-off control in daily operation. There are few moving parts to adjust and hence maintenance is completely minimized. This includes the special atmosphere generator which produces a blanketing gas over the work to dispel oxygen and other contaminates. The work parts after processing are as clean and bright or better than when they entered the furnace. The atmospheres generated are extremely pure and of low "dew-point" thus eliminating all "fire" from the work and precludes the use of flux for brazing.
"Special" jewelry furnace designs for very delicate work such as "baby" chains, filigrees, and hollowware down to .003 thick become standard operation in our raised hearth jewelry furnace equipment.
The jewelry furnace equipment is completely "packaged" to be unitized which facilitates proper operation and economizes on valuable plant floor space. Moreover, the jewelry furnace is completely assembled, tested, wired and piped internally; it is finished and painted to present a very cosmetic appearance. The only installation requirements are electric power, ammonia supply for atmosphere, and a minimum of water supply for cooling.
If you have soldering problems or other requirements, please allow S. M. Engineering Company to offer the experience gained over 40 years of working with the jewelry industry to provide designs and prices we are sure will be of interest to you.
